Welcome to the Official APART Visual Arts Collective Deviantart account! This is a venue in which we showcase the varied works of our members, in different media.

Some info about the organization and what we're all about.

born in November 2006, with all intentions of establishing an art community in the Ateneo de Manila University, the founders and organizers sought to make APART a startling reality, and, although some may have deemed us too radical or unprepared, we soldiered on and managed to stay alive. Thus, the APART Visual Arts Collective is well and alive today.

Our organization is all about doing things differently, and better.

We're not trying to put up some sort of show, or trying to please anyone or conform to what people "typically" want. we're not in some rat race or in some wholesale business here, either. It doesn't matter to us whether we have a thousand members or one. what matters is that we don't sell out, and we keep doing what we do, and well.

So if you're all about innovation and true creativity and passion and ART in its best sense, then watch us. we might not cater to your soda pop, cookie cutter needs, but we're definitely around for that lasting tingle in your gut, and though we may not be your bunch of screaming, starving artists, rest assured that our art is with reason, depth, purpose, and substance.

For the members,
Here are the simple and easy-to-follow procedures for getting your work into the group gallery

1. If you don't have a deviantART account and are interested in getting your work onto the world wide web, simply create your very own account by logging onto the deviantART home page and sign up.

2. To join the group account, add apart-art to your devWatch list. (From your page, go to [link] and click on WATCH THIS DEVIANT/Add to friends)

3. To get your work into the group gallery, you can "nominate" it by sending the group account (apart-art) a personal note with:
A) your name
B) a brief description of your work (What media/programs you used, title, inspiration, etc.)
C) a link to the posted work on your own deviantart page (In other words, nominate works that you have already posted in your page).

4. If your work is chosen, we will notify you and post your work (and the link back to your own site) in the group gallery.

5. If your work is NOT chosen, we will notify you as to why it wasn't chosen or provide suggestions for revision or cleaning. you may submit an unlimited number of works per week, all of which may be accepted or otherwise. Revised works may be resubmitted for consideration.

6. Use of stock material is not highly encouraged. If you do, remember to put credit where it is due. Plagiarism won't be tolerated.

NEW: since we're getting the feeling you're all "shy" about submitting, you may also just keep posting works and we (who will be able to see it through the dev watch updates) can also be the ones to pick some out that you may want to submit. but STILL, don't be shy! Kaya natin to!

________________________________________ _________

PS. If anyone's willing to donate a deviantart subscription, we would be eternally grateful.

________________________________________ _________

So there, we hope you'll participate and try to submit regularly!

Also, check out this space for future updates, info, contests, activities, etc.

Power to you guys and to your work! :) :) :)

Dear Apart. We appreciate you going through all the fuss of e-mailing us the posters. But could you possibly limit your resolutions to a maximum of 1024 px? I mean come on, no one is going to need to view these things at 300 dpi. We'd have to scroll great distances just to read the phone number at the bottom. This, plus the fact that it hurts the dial-up people. Not friggin everyone is on DSL mind you. B'sides, it's just for the email anyway. kthxbai.
